We all, have experienced times when our businesses become STUCK!
…Sales have slowed down yet there’s no obvious trigger
…With Innovation, our pipeline is no longer filled with game changers or ideas are taking too long to reach the market, we have to compromise the original appeal or price or investment, and once launched projects are not meeting our expectations

Of course, we have tried the usual things, we have some great ideas and there are lots of reasons explaining why this is so, but we are still STUCK!
The smart but difficult thing is to spot this quickly, acknowledge it then act.

Even more challenging as we all know from experience, is to act so we address the root cause and not simply chase the many symptoms.
Easy to say when not in the heat of managing the business day to day issues as well as responding to pressure from shareholders, the bank, or employees seeking answers.
Being realistic - when you live and breathe a business, even if you could free up the time, it is hard for you to see your business through a different lens, to dig beneath the surface, to ask the dumb questions and of course will people be courageous enough to voice the things no-one wants to hear?
So, gaining the help of an external person is the next step…but whom?
And will they really unlock what is holding us back or simply give us their formula or worse, tell us what we already know – we know the problems, we have some great ideas, we just can’t seem to make them happen!!
And there are not many external people who can quickly understand our business properly or be willing to roll up their sleeves to fix the engine with us.
